georgetown law lsat scores
I need help with my law school question?
Hi. I really need your help with regard to my situation. I graduated Magna C** Laude from St. John’s University with a overall gpa of 3.80 and a bachelors in accounting, and an accounting gpa of 3.94. I also attended St. Johns for grad school and graduated with a 3.85 gpa and a masters in accounting. I already took my LSAT and scored a 168. I also have two years of real work experience interning for a well-known private equity firm. During my years at St. John’s, i offered tutoring to accounting students, was a member of a political club and played a semester of intramural football. What are my chances of getting into the Law schools (listed below) and/or what would be a perfect fit?
Vanderbilt
NYU
Boston University
Columbia University
UCLA
UPenn
USC
Duke
Georgetown
UChicago
None of the above

Thanks!
You have a very good chance of being accepted by at least one of them if you apply to all of them. They are all extremely selective and it is impossible to make definite predictions. Vanderbilt, BU and USC are all very fine schools, but they are probably a bit easier than the others for acceptance. Columbia and Duke are probably the most difficult for acceptance on the list. Others may genuinely disagree with my personal opinions about specific schools.
Chicago is probably the most politically conservative of those on your list. Otherwise, I do not know enough about what you are seeking in a law school to comment on whether a school is a “good fit” for you.
In general, top law schools like these vary much less in their academic environment than do undergraduate schools.
Duke and Vanderbilt are in smaller cities than the others.
I hope this information helps. Good luck.
