georgetown law week one
Summer program at georgetown university?
I am currently a junior, and am considering attending the Law and Society summer program at Georgetown during the summer before my senior year. I would someday like to be a lawyer. Has anyone ever done this program or a similar one? It is only 1 week long. My only concerns are that I will get a little homesick, as the only time I’ve been away from home for more than 1 week, I was with 5 of my best friends. Also, I’m a bit shy so I’m worried I’ll have trouble adjusting and making friends. Opinions from people who attended similar programs such as explo, people to people, leadership conferences, etc?
Hey!! I’m applying to this too!! But I’m signing up for International Relations (and I’m a sophomore right now) :]
and I’m sure you’ll be finee!! Meeting a whole bunch of new people (maybe me!) will be great experience! Cause when you go off to college you’ll probably be away from home for a lot longer than a week.
My brother went to this last year and he loved every minute of it! I’ve attended many seminars from FBLA leadership conferences in Italy, (I’m with the army schools in Germany), to art camps in Belgium. They all last over a week and everyone was oh so nice!
If you get homesick you’ll be a phone call away from home and according to my brother it’s a worthwhile experience!
